What We Require From Gaia Online

Most people believe the point of this website is to shut down Gaia Online. While it would certainly please us a lot, there are indeed other ways around it. Nothing would be easier than starting to improve Gaia Online. And here is how:

First, Gaia MUST stop accepting cash by mail and ask for parental or tutor agreement for money orders. I KNOW this will make them lose a lot of money but it’s the number one concern against children.

Second, Gaia should really start adding content. It’s almost ridiculous that they perpertually delay new conten without any advice. More specifically, they should put a calendar of upcoming items, and respect it. 

Third– and this is the main point — Gaia should go much softer on bans. First, there should ALWAYS be a real investigation before any kind of bans. We understand that there are people that deserve to be banned, but this should always be after all other options have been envisaged. There should be temporary bans first and permanent bans only after the offender has been throughfully warned. There should also be ”Last Chance” warning before a complete ban is initiated, and the ban should be by IP too.

Four, Gaia Online must take more severe measures against pedophiles. They already warn users about scam, but children abuse should be their priority, not just a lost cause somewhere in their ToS.

 

5th, Gaia should make the 5$ advertising in their shop buyable by gold and not real money.

 

6th, Gaia should stop selling gold, or at least sell it at a better price so you don’t need to empty your pocket just to get gold. 1$/5000$ would already be better.

 

7th, Gaia should stop putting so much pressure. We KNOW they have new monthly items, but it’s not a reason to put it on every single page.

 

8th, remove the 1,49$ surcharge for payment by mail.

 

9th, make severe penalties for flaming, trolling and stupid posts. Have negative gold cause you to lose items and even be banned from forums (until you pay your debts)

 

10th (or however you say it), limit the number of accounts a single IP can have to 10.

 

11th, make gold penalties over time much more sever. For example, after one hour, the gold income should be reduced to almost 0 for all actions, until you have stopped playing for 1 complete hour. After four cumulated daily hours of playing, gold income should be negative for every action you do.

 

12th, put the PG13 warning on the main page and clearly visible at registering.

 

13th, change the marketing plan and stop directing it at children. 

 

UPDATE November 12: Gaia Online actually removed the surchage for mail orders! Incredible, one down, 12 to go!

Stop your rants and try seeing things from gaia’s point of view. You say you work with ChaosProgramming who are charging people to hack a site that is meant to be a place for people to have fun? What kind of low down fucktards are you? You complain about gaia yet your the real scum. Charging for a program that breaks the rules of gaia. Your scaming the people of gaia by supplying them with something that will get them banned and your charging them REAL money.     Someone did something extraordinarily stupid and had to whine about it. If you haven’t noticed, a lot of this stuff is ridiculous. When your readers pass your typos and study, we see that you were clearly banned for doing something not PG-13 and you’re angry because you spent a lot of money on the site, probably because you were addicted, which is becoming a psychological problem for all online games, not just Gaia, and it’s not Gaia’s fault anyway. I see that you were lured by the monthly items. While they only advertise the monthly item on the news blinker on the homepage and on the “Monthly Item” page, I’m going to guess one of the two got you. Gaia is not tough on bans. They do thoroughly investigate. I should know – I’m the one that reports at least two stupid flamers a day and I’m prompty contacted by a mod who thoroughly checks the situation. They respond within a day or two – sometimes as little as hours. Those people are warned and watched. They already slow the flow of gold to people as they post. I don’t know where you were for that. A lot of kids are on it and it’s their parents’ responsibility to protect them, just like your mommy and daddy are in charge of filtering your Google so you can’t search for “boobies” on the image section. I know you’re angry because you were caught being naughty, but that’s why there are Terms of Service, kiddo. Also, Gaia doesn’t care about your site. They already have responsible, ToS-abiding users who make suggestions to them on the *gasp* suggestion board that they look into. They use the money well and the site is very well kept. I mean, you could always go to that anti-American Roliana bullshit . . . but anyway, get over it. It’s the internet. If you let yourself get angry over everything you find on the internet, you’ll die of a heart attack. So be the bigger man, take down this stupid site and get on with life knowing you’re not going to live your life answering to kids whining over other kids that called them gay.

    Honestly sometimes i agree with u but sometimes i dont. Gaia must put some addicting drug in it because i cant stop playing. Ive been playing for 3 years (i know its sad) today i ran into 2 admin. I know alot. I met them in towns. I acted like myself. Spazzy and i stalked them. I agree that gaia can suck but its odd how can u take down gaia they are huge while ur so very tiny.

    I agree with some of the things you say, but some of the things you mentioned are too much. I had gotten pretty pissed off at gaia because my main account at the time got hacked and the person who hacked it got my account banned. I used one of my other accounts to report this event and did not get a response. I waited awhile to see if I would get a response because I figured they probably have a lot to read but I eventually sent another report. I got a response to this report saying that they basically wouldn’t do anything because I filed a report too late. I replied saying that I sent a report right after it happened and so on but that account remains banned to this day. So I agree that they seriously need to make some changes with the banning system.

    Well I agree in somepoints but the limiting I mean that’s not right. Usually I play like around 1 hour or more depends on what day, so I don’t want to be limited and get my gold reduced that would totally suck. And on your homepage you should edit somethings like the now they actually have a game with monsters,levels and good quests to get items to level up and stuff (and I’m talking about zOMG).

    I got banned for bumping in a bump this thread to one million pages thread in the chatterbox and lost my panda hat and DJ headphones and about 80 million in other items that I got from bumping that same thread every day since 2003. When I asked a mod why they said that I was spamming. I phoned head office and they told me that I should be unbanned and unbanned me. However the first post after I got unbanned back in that bump thread and I got banned again and rang head office again and they said oh well we tried, sorry. like 400mil in items and gold from bumping that one thread and paying like $200 a month to them and I can never get my account back.

    You should also be able to wear all/any of the items of ur choice that is within another item, (eg. monthly collectibles) all at once so you don’t have to keep spending gold to buy more of the same item over and over again, just to make it all match.

    I hope gaia gets shut down. -.-” Ive been playing for 4 years and I have a decent amount of gold but honestly, gaia is starting to overprice evrything. I feel for the newbies. The only way they can buy anything good is if they buy gaia cash or do those retarded ass offers that spam the hell out of your computer. If you dont have gaia cash, or have a friend that will donate to you, then you basically will have nothing your whole entire gaia life. Gaia sucks.
